2020 Redwood Safety Summit Cancelled
Redwood Safety Association members, attendees and supporters, the 2020 Redwood Safety Summit planned to April 24, 2020 has been cancelled due to concerns and the impact of the COVID-19 virus.
If you have registered for the event and sent in a check, those checks will not be cashed. We can return the check or destroy it, whatever you prefer.
The Summit conference committee and the RSA Board have evaluated the situation, and given the recent extension of school closures, statewide cancellation of all gatherings of 25 or more people, and the recommendation to avoid gatherings of 10 or more, along with the fact that Asante’s responsibility during this outbreak needs to be focused on the general population and not on a local safety conference, we have determined that the best course of action is to cancel the 2020 RSA Safety Summit.
I would like to thank you for being kind and considerate to each other, and for being calm in this difficult situation. It is important that we support each other during this crisis, and realize that we are all going through this together, even as we may be reacting to it in different ways. Your commitment to serving companies and individuals in Josephine, Jackson and Douglas counties in the midst of this crisis is one of the reasons that the RSA is such a great community-based organization.
As I have more to share, I will share it with you. Above all, please take care of yourself and those close to you.
Sincerely,
Mark E. Hurliman, CSHM
