ABOUT
The Redwood Safety Association (RSA) is made up of Grants Pass and surrounding area people who have occupational safety or health activities as part of their duties. The regularly scheduled monthly meetings provide training and networking opportunities for the price of lunch!
The Redwood Safety Association is a not for profit organization. The purpose of the RSA is to provide opportunities to promote and improve safety understanding for employers, employees, and the general public in the geographical area surrounding Grants Pass, Oregon.
OBJECTIVES
In fulfilling its purposes the Redwood Safety Association has the following objectives within the geographical area:
a) To develop and/or promote educational programs for obtaining the knowledge required to perform the function of a safety professional.
b) To develop and/or disseminate locally, information and materials that will carry out the purpose of the Association, and serve the public.
c) To provide networking opportunities and/or to support forums for the interchange and acquisition of professional knowledge among its members.
d) To foster liaison with local organizations of related disciplines.
e) To conduct its affairs in a manner that will reflect the standard, purposes and objectives of the Association.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Association is open but not limited to individuals in the Grants Pass geographical area.
Membership dues are $30.00 per year. Membership is not required to attend meetings.
OPERATING BOARD
The Redwood Safety Association has an Operating Board which is responsible for the operation and management of the Association. The Operating Board holds an open meeting on the first Thursday of the month from 11:20 am to 11:50 am, prior to and in the location of the General Membership meeting. The Operating Board has authority to commit the Association to action. A majority of the elected Operating Board present at a meeting constitutes a quorum.
